Clayoquot Island Preserve – Stubbs Island May Long weekend annually. Annual opening of a wildlife refuge and gardens owned by the Land Conservancy. Free tours once a year only on the May Long weekend. Once frequented by famed author John Steinbeck and his friend, marine biologist Ed “Doc” Rickets, both of “Cannery Row” fame. Free water taxis leave from Tofino Harbour.
